Privacy Policy

1. Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address (for authentication and account recovery)
• Username (unique identifier, publicly visible)
• Display name (optional, publicly visible)
• Bio (optional, publicly visible)
• Profile picture and cover image (optional, publicly visible)

You can also sign in using Apple Sign In, which may share your name and email based on your Apple ID settings.

2. Location Data

We request access to your device's location to:

• Show your position on the map
• Provide navigation assistance during routes
• Enable location-based searches for nearby points of interest

Location access is only used while the app is in use. We do not track your location in the background. You can deny location access at any time through your device settings—the app will remain functional but with limited location features.

3. Routes and Planning Data

• Local routes are stored only on your device and are not sent to our servers unless you choose to publish them
• Published routes include: route title, description, waypoints, coordinates, distance, elevation, photos, highlights, and warnings
• Published routes are visible to other users and stored securely on our servers

4. Social Content

If you use our social features, we collect:

• Posts: Text content, photos/videos, location tags, and post tags
• Comments: On posts and routes
• Likes and saves: On posts and routes
• Follows: Who you follow and who follows you
• POI reviews: Ratings, comments, and photos of points of interest

All social content you create is publicly visible to other users unless otherwise specified.

5. Offline Data

• Cached map tiles are stored locally on your device for offline use
• Downloaded POI data for offline regions is stored locally
• This data never leaves your device

6. Feedback and Suggestions

If you submit feature suggestions or bug reports, we collect the suggestion content, your votes, and comments.

7. Automatically Collected Information

We may collect device type, operating system version, app version, and anonymized crash logs for improving the app.

Cloud Storage

Your account data, published routes, and social content are stored securely using Supabase, a trusted cloud platform with:

• Encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL)
• Row Level Security (RLS) policies ensuring you can only access your own private data
• Secure authentication with industry-standard practices
• Data centers located in the European Union

Local Storage

Routes you create but don't publish remain on your device only. We cannot access this data.

Passwords

We never store your password in plain text. Authentication is handled securely through Supabase Auth or Apple Sign In.

Access and Update Your Data

You can view and edit your profile, posts, routes, and other content directly in the app.

Delete Your Data

You can delete your account directly from the app settings. This will permanently remove:

• Your profile and account information
• All your posts and comments
• All your published routes
• All your likes, saves, and follows
• All your POI reviews

Locally stored routes on your device are not affected by account deletion and must be deleted separately.

Export Your Data

You can export your routes as GPX files for use in other applications.

Withdraw Consent

You can revoke location access at any time through your device settings.
