Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using Bikepacking App ("the App", "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

The App is operated by MediaVikings (CVR: DK43433547), based in Denmark.

Bikepacking App is a free mobile application that provides:

• Bicycle route planning and navigation
• Points of interest (POI) discovery for cyclists
• Offline map capabilities
• Social features for sharing routes and connecting with other cyclists
• Route saving and management

The App uses data from OpenStreetMap and other open-source mapping services.

3.1 Account Creation

To use certain features, you must create an account with a valid email address or sign in with Apple. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your password
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

3.2 Username Policy

Your username must not:

• Impersonate another person or entity
• Contain offensive, obscene, or inappropriate content
• Violate any trademark or intellectual property rights

We reserve the right to reclaim or change usernames at our discretion.

4.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of content you create ("User Content"), including routes, posts, comments, reviews, photos, and profile information.

4.2 License Grant

By publishing content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, store, and process your content to provide the service. This license ends when you delete your content.

4.3 Content Guidelines

You agree not to post content that:

• Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing
• Contains hate speech or discrimination
• Infringes on intellectual property rights
• Contains spam, advertising, or malware
• Violates the privacy of others
• Is sexually explicit or inappropriate
• Contains false or misleading information

4.4 Content Moderation

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these guidelines. Repeated violations may result in account suspension or termination.

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the App or servers
• Scrape, harvest, or collect user data
• Use bots or automated tools without permission
• Reverse engineer or decompile the App
• Use the App to track or surveil others without consent

6.1 Free Service

Bikepacking App is completely free to use. All features—including route planning, navigation, map access, POI discovery, offline maps, and social features—are available at no cost.

6.2 Optional Support Subscription

We offer an optional subscription for users who wish to support the ongoing development of the App. This subscription:

• Is completely voluntary and does not unlock any additional features
• Is a way to support an independent developer and keep the app free for everyone
• Is processed through Apple's App Store
• Can be cancelled at any time

6.3 Subscription Management

• Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings
• Refunds are handled by Apple according to their policies

8.1 Route Information

Routes and navigation provided by the App are for informational purposes only. Always:

• Exercise caution and good judgment while cycling
• Verify routes are suitable for your skill level and bicycle
• Check local conditions, weather, and regulations
• Carry appropriate safety equipment

8.2 POI Information

Points of interest information (campsites, water sources, shelters, etc.) is sourced from OpenStreetMap and user contributions. We do not guarantee the accuracy, availability, or legality of any locations shown.

8.3 Disclaimer

You use the App's navigation and route suggestions at your own risk. We are not liable for accidents, injuries, property damage, or any other harm resulting from following routes or visiting locations shown in the App.

9.1 Our Rights

The App, including its design, code, graphics, and branding, is owned by MediaVikings and protected by intellectual property laws.

9.2 Map Data

Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors and used under the Open Database License (ODbL).

9.3 Feedback

Any feedback or suggestions you provide may be used by us to improve the App without obligation to compensate you.

By You

You may stop using the App at any time. You can delete your account from the app settings.

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in harmful activity.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark.

Jurisdiction

Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Copenhagen, Denmark.
